FIIO x Jade Audio products have always been known for their value for money and high build quality, offering audiophiles affordable yet high quality equipment. The brand new FiiO JH5 is the latest result of FIIO and Jade Audio's years of experience in the audio field. The high-precision 3D-printed construction and exquisite zinc alloy front panel reflect the quality craftsmanship that has gone into the JH5. The acoustic design of the JH5 is inspired by the design of high-end IEMs such as the FH9 and FH7, with the aim of presenting music from genres as diverse as classical and pop in high-fidelity quality. At the heart of the FiiO JH5 is a 10mm carbon-based dynamic driver, seamlessly linked to the special balanced armature drivers that cover mid to ultra-high frequencies as the drivers are divided into three independent chambers. The FIIO JH5 is a truly affordable IEM with a highly accurate sound that lets you experience just how good dynamic BA hybrids can be.
More carbon, more than amazing - 10 mm carbon-based dynamic driver
The quality of the dynamic driver is particularly important in hybrid IEMs as it forms the basis of the sound. The FiiO JH5's carbon-based 10mm dynamic driver is similar to those used in the popular FIIO "Little Conch" series headphones. However, this driver has been further optimized, making it a second generation model designed to work well with the rest of the acoustic design. The carbon-based driver can move quickly, resulting in excellent transient performance; all with minimal driver movement, resulting in less non-linear distortion.
Delicate sound that captures even the finest details - Dynamic dual-cavity driver
In order to surpass the typical sound of its class, special attention was paid to optimizing and tuning the dynamic driver of the JH5 during development. The JH5's dynamic driver features a unique dual-layer cavity that allows damping systems in both the inner and outer chambers to precisely control airflow. The result is an extended yet fast bass response similar to that of a 'dynamic speaker'.
Four customized BA drivers per ear - Tuned and matched BA drivers - For mid and high frequencies
To ensure that the dynamic driver works well with the balanced armature drivers, the development team adopted design ideas from high-end hybrid IEMs such as the FH9 and FH7. Two special BA drivers handle the mid and high frequencies. These two BA drivers, together with the dynamic driver, have been specially designed to have a resonance peak at 2.8 kHz, which is also a resonance frequency formed by the shape of the human ear. The result is not only a smooth transition between the dynamic and balanced armature drivers, but also ensures that the transition between the different drivers is well matched to the shape of the human ear - resulting in a more natural soundstage and an overall smoother sound.
Feel every plucked instrument string - Special ultra-high frequency BA driver
To achieve the desired sound quality, the development team saw fit to equip the JH5 with two custom ultra-high frequency (UHF) drivers. These two UHF drivers were placed closer to the sound nozzle, which in turn has a thicker inner surface, a shorter length and a slight curvature. The result of this design is that the FIIO JH5 is very wide in the treble and capable of producing ultra-high frequencies. It lets you feel every pluck of the instrument strings, bringing you much closer to the musical performance.
High-energy, robust dynamics - Asymmetrical internal and external magnetic circuits
The FIIO JH5 is equipped with a second-generation asymmetrical internal and external magnetic circuit to ensure that the driver has enough energy to transmit even the strongest audio dynamics. Compared to the traditional design with a single internal or external magnet, the magnetic circuits in the JH5 significantly increase the magnetic field density around the voice coil - resulting in more energy for a more robust sound as well as improved transient response. The JH5 uses powerful N52 neodymium magnets with 1.5T magnetic flux. Stronger magnets provide a more uniform magnetic field over a wider area, resulting in less distortion even when reproducing highly dynamic audio signals - resulting in a smooth, unrestricted sound.
Interference-free - three independent driver chambers
To achieve maximum performance and produce a natural sound at all frequencies, the development team decided to take advantage of high-precision 3D printing to create three independent chambers, each housing a set of drivers that process a specific set of frequencies to reduce interference between the different drivers and thus reduce distortion. Thanks to the proprietary acoustic tube, the frequency response curve of the JH5 is smooth and free from distortion and sibilance caused by frequency response peaks.
Smooth as jade, comfortable and skin-friendly - High-precision 3D printed construction
To achieve better sound and superior comfort, the shell is made from medical grade resin that has undergone a high-precision DLP 3D printing process:
- The high-precision 3D printing process with an accuracy of up to 0.05 mm ensures that even complex acoustic designs are consistent across all devices.
- The medical-grade resin helps to ensure that the JH5s are robust, impact-resistant and have a long service life.
Luxurious feel that can be felt with just one touch
Zinc die-cast alloy front panel The JH5 was developed as a relatively affordable IEM that not only sounds great, but also has excellent build quality. The sturdy yet lightweight magnesium alloy cover, which undergoes several processes such as liquid die casting, mirror electroplating and hand polishing, results in an IEM that simply exudes quality. Your fingers will notice it immediately when they touch the JH5.
Negative feedback for bass enhancement- Pleasant sounding, great sound
If earphones made of synthetic resin are not manufactured carefully or have problems with their acoustic design, they can sound "closed" and disturb the eardrum. The dynamic driver of the FIIO JH5 is equipped with two magnets. When the driver vibrates, the sound is emitted from both the front and the rear of the driver with opposite phases. The JH5's bass amplifier with negative feedback directs the low-frequency sound waves emitted from the rear of the speaker to the front of the speaker. Compared to more typical acoustic designs, this special design allows for pressure relief at the front of the driver, reducing pain to the listener's eardrums caused by increased air pressure in a confined space. Such a design improves overall comfort, durability and sound quality and is made possible by high-precision 3D printing.

High quality materials - 392 wire cable included
The FIIO JH5 is supplied as standard with a cable made of high-purity silver-plated copper wire. All 14 wires are twisted into a small strand and 7 small strands form a large strand. With a total of 4 large strands, the JH5 cable has a total of 392 cores. The wires are each independently insulated and braided, which increases the conductive area and improves the high frequency details. The JH5 features a detachable 0.78mm 2-pin cable, providing numerous options for future upgrades. The 0.78 2-pin connector housings are angled and the cable ergonomically hugs your ear for a comfortable listening experience.
Hi-Res Audio certified
The JH5 has been certified by the Japan Audio Society (JAS) and the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) to faithfully reproduce your music.
