It was developed from the ground up by experienced acoustic engineers at FiiO. It features an ultra-thin 1-µm diaphragm with a double-coated, patented design. With professional tuning adjustments from FiiO, the FP3 achieves a wide stage, deep bass response and detailed, extended treble reproduction with a frequency response of up to 40 kHz. The driver is precision manufactured with nanometre-level accuracy. It was manufactured using a 28 nm process. Ultra-thin diaphragm and precision engineered driver The planar magnetic driver of the FiiO FP3 utilises an ultra-thin 1-µm diaphragm. It is made from high-performance PET as the substrate material for the diaphragm. It is extremely lightweight and combined with its ultra-thin design, it achieves lightning-fast movement speed, resulting in faster transients, improved dynamics and low distortion in sound output. The driver utilises FiiO's own patented double coating system. The planar driver uses a PET diaphragm substrate with an aluminium and titanium material coating to form a double-coated driver unit. The first layer is made of aluminium, while the second coating layer is made of titanium. Super Strong Magnetic Architecture The FiiO FP3 has a strong, powerful magnetic architecture. Each driver has 14 powerful N52 neodymium magnets, seven on each side of the driver. The balanced placement of these magnets allows for an evenly distributed, uniform diaphragm of the double-coated driver. The diaphragm experiences balanced forces on both sides, resulting in smooth movement that improves sound efficiency and also reduces distortion. Improved bass response with ‘Tesla Valve’ acoustic technology The FiiO FP3 features the same patented ‘Tesla Valve’ bass enhancement technology as the highly acclaimed FD15 IEMs. The length, angle and number of channels in the FP3's cavity have been optimised to achieve a fluid Tesla Valve structure. Each earpiece weighs just 6.5 grams, so the pair literally disappears into your ears. High-quality standard cable The FiiO FP3 comes with a high-purity silver-plated copper cable. This is a four-core cable with a total of 392 cores made of high-purity silver-plated copper material. Each wire is individually enamelled and insulated to ensure smooth signal transmission and eliminate microphony problems. The wires are braided together in a stranded structure. The cable is fitted with 0.78 mm 2-pole connectors and has an interchangeable connector system with 3.5 mm and 4.4 mm balanced connectors, which are included in the scope of delivery.
