Patented desktop mode
Expert in battery protection Desktop mode is available for the first time on an entry-level FiiO player. When desktop mode is activated, the M21 is fully powered by an external power supply. The built-in battery is neither charged nor discharged, so you can safely use the player on your desk without draining the battery. Patent number: ZL202321946664.8
Portable/desktop dual power supply mode
A leap in performance In portable mode, the player is powered by a standard power supply. When using the external power supply in “Super High Gain” mode, the player automatically switches to a high voltage supply with a peak output voltage of 21 Vpp (300 ohms) and a massive output power of 950 mW (32 ohms). This delivers desktop-level performance, making the player more compatible with a wider range of earphones or headphones and providing a truly exceptional listening experience.
Real quality inside and out
The all-aluminum alloy body with a frosted AG glass back offers a fine texture and is comfortable to hold. The screen has an oleophobic coating that significantly reduces fingerprints and smudges and enables smoother touch operation.
Digital and analog shielding
A heavenly sound The digital and headphone amplifier sections are housed in separate partitions, each with independent shielding covers for isolation. This not only reduces signal crosstalk, but also enables efficient heat dissipation and delivers a purer sound.
Flagship-level performance
There are separate power supply paths for the digital and analog circuits, effectively reducing crosstalk between the two. The result is more precise digital processing, a purer analog output and improved drive performance. The analog circuit is further divided into multiple independent power supplies for components such as the DAC and headphone amplifier. This clean and robust power supply improves the dynamic range and results in a better reproduction of details in the audio range - for a more refined and natural sound.
High-end hi-fi components for better sound
The M21's audio circuitry uses high-precision thin-film resistors and temperature-stable capacitors for refined and stable sound - especially for greater consistency between the left and right channels and across all frequency ranges. In addition, fine circuits such as the DAC and headphone amplifier are equipped with over 10 low-impedance, high-capacitance tantalum capacitors. These provide ample power reserves and a robust power supply for a more powerful, dynamic sound.
Global audio optimization
5th generation FPGA + two custom femtosecond crystal oscillators
FIIO has developed a crystal oscillator specifically for the M21, carefully selected to meet femtosecond standards to ensure consistency and stability in output. With a high-precision, low-jitter unified clock source, it accurately matches PCM and DSD audio at different sampling rates, ensuring precise reproduction of digital audio signals.
Versatile connectivity
3.5mm and 4.4mm line outputs The independent line amplifier circuits allow connection to powered speakers or external amplifiers.
