True audiophile quality
The SP3 Series uses a 3.5-inch carbon fibre woofer that is larger than typical products in this class, producing a big sound for such a small desktop speaker.
These larger woofers have an inherent advantage over smaller woofers in terms of dynamics, projection of a larger soundstage and other sonic characteristics.
Whether for films or music, this woofer is capable of expressing the size of the sound even at higher volumes.
Carbon fibre is extremely strong and rigid, yet lightweight - the ideal characteristics for a speaker driver.
The low weight of carbon fibre allows the woofer to transient quickly, while the high strength and stiffness of carbon fibre reduces non-linear distortion by minimising unwanted secondary vibrations as the driver moves during sound production.
Overall, the carbon fibre material of the woofer contributes to a faithful sound reproduction and lets you immerse yourself even more intensively in your high-fidelity experience.
Each carbon fibre in the SP3 series is only 0.007 mm thick - as thick as a single hair.
These fibres are woven together, which helps to improve sound quality by ensuring a wrinkle-free cone and making the cone stronger and more resistant to cracking after prolonged movement and use of the driver.

Treble performance
In an active desktop speaker, the tweeter often plays a crucial role in the reproduction of fine musical details, instrumental overtones and overall treble resolution. Unlike many other active desktop speakers that use a ¾-inch tweeter, the SP3 series utilises a 1-inch tweeter that can produce frequencies of up to 35 kHz.
The tweeter's copper-clad KSV aluminium voice coil ensures that ultra-high frequencies are not compressed even at high volumes - the result is better high-frequency reproduction even with off-axis listening and high-resolution treble with a natural timbre. With the SP3 series, you can hear even the most subtle vibrations of instruments.
Robust performance
To ensure that the 3.5-inch carbon fibre woofer produces really powerful bass and that the SP3 series can unfold its full potential, the development team has developed an asymmetrical system of internal and external magnetic circuits.
An additional magnet has been placed in the centre of the SP3 Series to form an inner and outer magnetic circuit, improving the strength of the magnetic field generated and allowing a magnetic flux of up to 1.2 Tesla.
This is the powerful driving force behind the driver that gives the SP3 Series its dynamic sound.
In addition, the asymmetrical internal and external magnetic circuit systems help to reduce non-linear distortion across all frequencies, so that good sound is always available, no matter what music you listen to.

Double-diffused S-shaped bass reflex tube After dozens of different designs, FIIO engineers finally developed the innovative "double-diffused S-shaped bass reflex tube" that allows the SP3 Series to achieve its goals of being compact while still producing high-quality sound.
Firstly, this bass reflex tube has a much smaller cross-section than typical bass reflex tubes, allowing the SP3 Series to maintain a small volume.
Secondly, FIIO engineers have carefully designed the "S" shape of the bass reflex tube to maximise smooth airflow and minimise turbulence.
Finally, damping has been specifically applied to the inlet and outlet of the tube to reduce audible noise and ensure pure, robust bass quality.
All in all, the SP3 Series will effortlessly immerse you in your music thanks to its ability to accurately reproduce sound effects.

For outstanding sound quality, the FIIO SP3 series has been specially tuned and designed to ensure that the sound waves reach the listener in the best possible way.
The tweeter is precisely angled so that the sound waves are transmitted to the listener in an off-axis range of 0 to ±15° with essentially no loss, so that the listener is not tied to a specific position and speaker placement becomes more convenient.
In addition, the horizontal stripe pattern in front of the tweeter has been designed to allow the sound waves emanating from the tweeter to propagate better in the room, which significantly improves the perceived soundstage and better conveys the illusion of actually being in a large concert hall.

Supports 10-band parametric EQ To further enhance your SP3 BT listening experience, the speakers have been designed to work fully with the FIIO Control APP/FIIO Music mobile apps.
After a successful Bluetooth connection, the mobile apps allow you to fine-tune your sound, e.g. customise the device name and set the Bluetooth codecs to be used.
The biggest highlight of the app, however, is the 10-band parametric EQ, which allows you to adjust the Q value, gain and other parameters for each band.
Dynamic or quiet, just as you like
The SP3 BT has a standby wake-up function, i.e. if no signal input is detected within 20 minutes, the SP3 BT automatically switches to standby mode; if a signal input is detected, the SP3 BT automatically switches to playback mode.
An automatic playback pause function makes the speaker more intuitive for your needs.

Active 2-way crossovers In professional audio products, an active crossover is used to split the frequencies in a sound signal, with the higher frequencies going to the tweeter amplifier and then to the tweeter, and the lower frequencies going to the woofer amplifier and then to the woofer.
In this way, interference between the signals sent to different drivers is avoided.
The FIIO SP3 Series uses an active crossover with a crossover frequency of 3.4 kHz, specifically selected to maximise the performance of the tweeter and woofer.
The SP3 Series utilises a second order active 2-way filter circuit to more accurately control the crossover frequency and ensure that the signals sent to each driver are more effectively isolated, resulting in less intermodulation distortion, avoiding driver overload and significantly improving the efficiency of the power delivered.

One of the most important parts of an active desktop speaker is the amplification. The SP3 series is equipped with two Texas Instruments (TI) 3118 Class D amplifiers, which are highly efficient, have a low noise floor and ensure the purity of the audio signal.
FIIO's experienced research and development team has developed an active 4-channel crossover system for the SP3 Series, so that each driver has its own independent circuitry for less interference and greater efficiency in converting signals into sound.
A robust power supply is all that is needed to realise the full potential of the high-end SP3 Series components.
The R&D team spared no expense and equipped the SP3 series with two large Nichicon capacitors with a capacity of 4700uf each.
These capacitors contribute to a more stable and cleaner power supply by helping to minimise ripple in the amplifier supply.
Sound and size
Tiny volume of 2.35 litres to free up space on your desk, the SP3 series has been designed to fit all the necessary components in the smallest possible housing - resulting in a total volume of just 2.35 litres.
The SP3 series gives you the flexibility to create a comfortable desktop setup with plenty of space. Die-cast liquid metal housing The SP3 series has a housing made of high-strength die-cast aluminium.
The inner walls of the housing are carefully and evenly manufactured to reduce resonances and thus improve the sound quality.
The horizontal strips on the front of the speaker serve to stiffen the cabinet and help to avoid unwanted strong vibrations at high volumes.
Exclusive stand with 7 degree tilt For an optimal listening experience, the axis of the tweeter should not be more than 15 degrees away from the ear.
The SP3 series comes with stands that are raised by 7° to bring the speakers into this perfect position. In addition, the feet of the SP3 series are made of rubber, which prevents a hard connection between the speaker and the table top and acts as a shock absorber.

Exclusive stand with 7-degree elevation As usual in the professional audio world and to ensure a better listening experience in the near field, the tweeter should be at ear level and the tweeter axis should not be more than 15 degrees away from the ear.
"Therefore, we have developed an exclusive stand with a 7-degree tilt angle especially for the SP3 series. We conducted listening tests with 5-15° and 7-15° stands with the listener 1 to 1.2 metres away from the speaker. In these tests, we concluded that a stand with a 7-degree tilt angle provides the most accurate sound for near-field listeners. In addition, the stand is made of silicone, which acts as a shock absorber by creating a soft surface between the SP3 Series and the desk, reducing sound distortion from vibrations when the speaker is producing sound."

Consistent FIIO quality
Standard 8-pin primary and secondary speaker connection cable Standard 3.5mm to RCA input cable FIIO has always adhered to the principle of user-centricity.
