Desktop CD Player and CD Digital Transport with DAC and USB RippingCompact desktop CD player in an all-metal enclosure with a retro display and infrared remote controlProprietary, exceptionally quiet tray-loading drive with optimized servo firmwareBuilt-in Cirrus Logic CS43198 DAC with analog RCA output (2.2 Vrms)Three digital outputs: AES/EBU (XLR), coaxial, and opticalRip CDs directly to a USB flash drive as WAV files via USB, without a computerCan also be used as a USB DAC with up to 32-bit/384 kHz PCM and native DSD256Native playback of MQA CDs with bitstream output via optical and coaxial outputsTwo femtosecond oscillators and separate circuit board sections with their own power suppliesInternal power supply or external 12 V linear power supplyAvailable in black and silverThe CD Returns to the Modern Desktop SetupThe FiiO DP11 brings your CD collection to your desk and into your hi-fi rack. It functions as a full-fledged CD player with a built-in DAC and analog output, but can also be used as a dedicated CD digital transport connected to an external DAC. Add to that CD ripping and use as a USB DAC: this compact device handles multiple tasks in your setup.Quiet, precise driveThe CD drive, including the tray, is an in-house development by FiiO. A decoupled drive mount and specially optimized servo firmware are designed to minimize running and loading noises while improving accuracy when reading the disc. The high-quality, smooth-running tray slides in and out quietly, making it ideal for a device placed right next to your workspace or in your listening room.DAC and Analog OutputA Cirrus Logic CS43198 handles the conversion. The analog stereo output via a pair of RCA jacks delivers 2.2 Vrms. The circuit design is derived from FiiO’s S15 desktop streamer. Clocking is handled by two femtosecond oscillators, and the CD drive, digital section, and analog section are located on separate circuit board sections, each with its own power supply. The DP11 can also serve as a preamplifier and can be connected directly to active speakers or a power amplifier.Three Digital Outputs for Your Own DACIf you already own a preferred DAC, you can use the DP11 purely as a transport. In addition to the coaxial output (up to 24-bit/192 kHz) and the optical output (up to 24-bit/96 kHz), it offers a balanced AES/EBU output via XLR (up to 24-bit/192 kHz)—a feature rarely found in this price range.MQA CDs are output natively as a bitstream via the optical and coaxial outputs. Decoding is handled by an external, MQA-capable converter.Rip CDs without a computerPlug a USB flash drive into the DP11, and the inserted CD can now be saved to it as a lossless WAV file—without needing a PC, external drive, or ripping software. Audio CDs (CDDA). The USB storage device must be formatted in FAT32 and may not exceed 32 GB in size. Can also be used as a USB DACSmartphones, tablets, or computers can be connected to the DP11 via USB, allowing it to function as a USB DAC. It supports PCM up to 32-bit/384 kHz and native DSD256. This way, computer audio and CD playback share a single device.FiiO’s measured specifications in USB mode: THD+N below 0.00068 percent and a frequency response from 20 Hz to 20 kHz with a deviation of no more than 0.1 dB. During CD playback, THD+N is below 0.0014 percent and the deviation is no more than 1.3 dB.Design and Power SupplyThe retro-style all-metal housing features a 3.71-inch LCD display with a vintage look. The DP11 is conveniently operated using the included infrared remote control. Measuring 213 x 230 x 67 mm and weighing about 1.8 kg, it fits on any desk and visually complements FiiO’s desktop devices. The DP11 is powered by an internal power supply rated for 100 to 240 V AC. Alternatively, it accepts 12 V DC (at least 2 A) from an external linear power supply, which is not included.Technical SpecificationsType: Desktop CD player with USB ripping and USB DACDrive: In-house developed tray-loading drive with optimized servo firmwareDAC: Cirrus Logic CS43198Clocking: 2-femtosecond oscillatorsAnalog output: RCA (stereo), 2.2 VrmsDigital outputs: AES/EBU (XLR) and coaxial up to 24-bit/192 kHz, optical up to 24-bit/96 kHzUSB DAC: up to 32-bit/384 kHz PCM, native DSD256USB ports: Firmware update, recording (ripping)Ripping: WAV, audio CDs only (CDDA), USB storage (FAT32), maximum 32 GBMQA CD: Bitstream output (external decoder required)Signal-to-noise ratio: at least 109 dB (A-weighted)Dynamic range: at least 109 dB (A-weighted)THD+N: < 0.00068% (USB), < 0.0014% (CD)Noise floor: < 8.1 µV (A-weighted)Frequency response: 20 Hz to 20 kHz (deviation < 0.1 dB USB, < 1.3 dB CD)Display: 3.71-inch LCDPower supply: internal 100 to 240 V AC, external 12 V DC (at least 2 A)Dimensions: 213 x 230 x 67 mm (without feet)Weight: approx. 1,802 gColors: Black / SilverPackage ContentsFiiO DP11 x 1Infrared remote control x 1USB-C cable x 1Power cord x 1Quick start guide x 1Warranty card x 1
