The FiiO FG3 is an over-ear gaming headset that brings the company’s Hi-Fi acoustic expertise to the competitive gaming arena. A coaxial design with two dynamic drivers, a built-in high-performance DSP, and a dedicated headphone amplifier work together to deliver precise positional audio, detailed sound reproduction, and low latency. With a detachable ENC microphone, virtual 7.1 surround sound, browser-based audio customization, and broad platform compatibility, the FG3 is designed for gaming, entertainment, and everyday listening pleasure.

Coaxial Dual-Driver Design

The FG3 features a coaxial configuration with two dynamic drivers, combining a 50-mm driver with a 16-mm driver into a single sound source. This design ensures excellent phase consistency and directional accuracy, thereby enhancing spatial imaging for competitive gaming. An electronic two-way crossover assigns the low and mid frequencies to the larger driver, while the smaller driver reproduces the high frequencies. This expands the frequency response and brings out subtle details without compromising sound power.

Drivers Specifically Designed for Competitive Gaming

The 50-mm driver with a composite diaphragm delivers powerful midrange and bass reproduction while enhancing vocal clarity, making it easier to distinguish communication with teammates and positional cues. The 16-mm dynamic driver with a titanium coating enhances detail in the high-frequency range and helps reproduce footsteps, ambient sounds, and subtle directional cues with greater precision.

Virtual 7.1 Surround Sound

A specially developed algorithm for virtual 7.1 surround sound expands conventional stereo sound into a three-dimensional soundstage that enhances spatial awareness and immersion in the game. Explosions, overhead movements, and positional effects are reproduced with enhanced spatial depth. Virtual 7.1 processing is available in Cinema Mode and Action Mode (ACT).

Detachable ENC Microphone

The detachable microphone uses an intelligent Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) algorithm to reduce distracting background noise—such as keyboard and mouse sounds—while focusing on your voice, ensuring clearer communication. It also supports hardware-based sidetone monitoring, which enables real-time voice monitoring with adjustable levels via FIIO Control WEB, ensuring more natural communication while gaming.

Browser-Based Audio Customization

The FG3 supports FIIO Control WEB, allowing for audio customization directly through a web browser without the need to download any software or drivers. Users can create and save custom 10-band EQ profiles, switch between presets for gaming and entertainment, and adjust microphone monitoring settings for various listening situations.

Special Gaming and Entertainment Modes

Preset sound profiles are optimized for FPS, MOBA, Action (ACT), Rhythm (MUG), Cinema, and music playback. Each profile is tailored to its specific use case, allowing you to easily change the sound characteristics with a single click. The presets for FPS, MOBA, and MUG do not enable virtual 7.1 surround sound processing.

Cross-Platform Compatibility

The driver-free USB connection enables true plug-and-play operation on a wide range of devices. The headset supports Windows 7, 8, 10, and 11, as well as compatible smartphones and laptops, and automatically switches between UAC 1.0 and UAC 2.0 modes to ensure compatibility with PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch systems.

Integrated Inline ControlsAn inline controller provides convenient access to key functions during gameplay. Users can switch between “Gaming,” “Movie,” and “Music” modes, mute or unmute the microphone, adjust the playback volume, and instantly mute the audio without interrupting the game.
