The JD1 GAMING is the new upgrade to the JD1. Based on the JD1 Hi-Fi dynamic headphone, FiiO has redesigned and tuned it for mobile gamers to create a headphone that fits the gaming experience. It retains the dynamic driver architecture and the excellent value for money of its predecessor. From the precise tuning of the frequency response to the redesigned hardware and form factor, every detail has been optimized for gaming scenarios and the needs of gamers.

Your gaming audio tool: 10 mm LCP dynamic driver

Lightweight and agile, yet delivering substantial sound quality. A 10 mm LCP (liquid crystal polymer) diaphragm serves as the acoustic material; it was selected because it combines high rigidity with low weight and delivers a full, rich bass range. An asymmetrical, dual magnetic circuit—both inside and outside—increases the magnetic field density at the voice coil and improves the driver’s driving force and impulse response. Air pressure equalization between the front and rear chambers increases the diaphragm’s compliance, improves bass depth, and eliminates the sensation of pressure on the eardrum. From the diaphragm to the housing, an uncompromising hi-fi architecture creates an even more immersive listening experience.

Deep decoding for a more immersive competitive experience: Independent DSP chip

An integrated DSP audio decoding chip supports high-resolution decoding at 384 kHz/24-bit, allowing common streaming music formats to be processed without an additional device. Smartphones and computers typically use an integrated audio SoC. Here, the audio signal is routed via the digital Type-C channel to the independent DSP chip, which handles decoding and output independently. This gives you greater depth of detail and lets you hear music exactly as it was intended.

Gaming and everyday life in a snap: Detachable boom microphone

A highly sensitive full-range microphone offers a wide frequency range and a smooth, natural frequency response. It faithfully reproduces vocal details, reduces distortion and pitch shifts, and makes the voice sound fuller and clearer. The freely bendable, soft headband can be precisely positioned to bring the microphone closer to your mouth. This improves directionality and keeps the voice clear and stable, effortlessly meeting the demands of intense team communication during gameplay. Thanks to the flexible, detachable design, you can attach the microphone for team games and detach it for everyday music listening, which disables the phone function.

A variety of sound profiles at the touch of a button: Three built-in EQ presets

To meet different listening needs in various situations, FiiO’s acoustic engineers have developed several finely tuned EQ profiles. Using the volume buttons, you can enjoy a custom sound in three specific scenarios.

Music Mode features a pure Hi-Fi tuning and delivers a natural sound with high resolution, low distortion, and smooth bass, mids, and highs. Game Mode is specifically tuned for FPS games. It reduces extreme low-bass frequencies that mask the sound of footsteps and enhances detail in the lower and upper midrange. This makes footsteps on various surfaces—such as snow, ground, or grass—easier to hear, and allows you to pinpoint sounds from greater distances more accurately. Cinema Mode boosts bass energy and the clarity of dialogue while softening the treble to reduce ear fatigue from sharp sounds during long movie nights. To switch modes, briefly press the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons simultaneously and cycle through the sound modes using the beeps.

Play freely without your hands getting in the way: L-shaped Type-C plug

The L-shaped plug is optimized for mobile gaming. Compared to a conventional straight connector, the cable better follows the shape of the device. When holding the smartphone in landscape mode, it reduces the uncomfortable pressure caused by a protruding connector and prevents the cable from obscuring the control area. It also reduces bending and tensile stress on the connector, improving comfort and stability during long sessions.
