Design Philosophy of the GIGAS Series

The GIGAS series is inspired by the Greek word “GIGAS,” which means “giant” and symbolizes high output power.

This product series was developed in conjunction with the launch of FiiO’s JT7 planar over-ear headphones. The JT7 has relatively low sensitivity and requires high output power from the source device, but source devices on the market with sufficient power are often quite expensive. To address this issue, FiiO has tailored the GIGAS Series specifically for entry-level planar headphones from FiiO and other brands, offering tremendous driving power at an affordable price—to fully bring out the true sound quality of full-size planar headphones.

The GIGAS 1 is a compact, high-performance headphone amplifier designed specifically for desktop use.

Housed in an elegant metal chassis, this powerhouse utilizes a discrete Class AB transistor current amplifier circuit for headphones. It delivers a balanced output power of up to 4600 mW + 4600 mW and effortlessly drives a wide range of IEMs and full-size headphones. With two headphone outputs, two inputs, two gain levels, a dual-mode power supply, and other features, the GIGAS 1 offers you an even more immersive hi-fi listening experience and audiovisual enjoyment.

Discrete Class AB Transistor Current Amplifier Circuit for Headphone Amplifiers

Carefully engineered with a discrete amplifier circuit, it utilizes an op-amp and transistor current-amplification design. The classic combination of the Onsemi MJE243G/253G components enables the GIGAS 1 to deliver high-current, low-impedance output power. With an enormous balanced output power of up to 4600 mW + 4600 mW, it effortlessly drives full-size headphones and IEMs—while delivering a smooth, natural, and melodious sound.

Two headphone outputs, seamlessly compatible

With a 3.5-mm single-ended and a 4.4-mm balanced headphone output, it offers comprehensive compatibility with a wide variety of headphones. The 3.5-mm jack supports CTIA-compliant microphone passthrough—for seamless compatibility with gaming voice chats, voice calls, and multimedia entertainment.

Two Inputs, Flexible Connectivity

Equipped with 3.5-mm and RCA inputs*, it offers comprehensive compatibility with a wide range of source devices. Seamlessly connect digital audio players, smartphones, computers, or CD players. Whether for hi-fi music enjoyment or multimedia entertainment on your desktop—the GIGAS 1 ensures a stable connection without restrictions for your audio sources.

*Compatible with TRUST series cables, including the Type-C to 3.5-mm audio decoder cable, the 3.5-mm to 3.5-mm stereo audio cable, the RCA to RCA stereo audio cable, the 3.5-mm to RCA stereo audio cable, and the Type-C to RCA audio decoding cable; also compatible with cables from the LINK series.

Two adjustable gain levels, compatible with all headphone types

A toggle switch makes it easy to switch between high and low gain. The device is suitable for both highly sensitive IEMs and low-sensitivity planar headphones as well as high-impedance full-size headphones, and effortlessly drives any headphone in your collection.

Type-C Dual-Mode Power Supply, Automatic Adaptation

Thanks to the Type-C port, the system is compatible with both standard 5-V power supplies and 12-V PD power, automatically adapting and switching between modes. Powering the device via a computer or a 5-V adapter is sufficient to drive most headphones. However, connecting it to a 12-V PD power source fully unleashes the amplifier’s true potential—delivering a massive leap in driving power, dynamics, and soundstage to achieve its peak performance.

The device features a minimalist aluminum alloy enclosure whose elegant and compact design allows it to blend seamlessly into even the most compact desktop setups. The intuitive, oversized volume control and mechanical toggle switches ensure smooth, user-friendly operation right out of the box.
